Directors
John Nostrant
John is currently the Head Coach at Washington College. As a player, he was a 3-time All-American midfielder at Washington College and a 2-time All-Pro player for the Philadelphia Wings and the Baltimore Thunder. Coach Nostrant served as the Head Coach of The Haverford School from 1991 to 2019, winning more than 400 games. Coach Nostrant has coached 38 high school All-Americans, 13 Inter-Ac title teams, 5 Inter-Ac tournament title teams, 2 state championship teams (2000 and 2005), and 2 undefeated national championship teams in 2011 and 2015. He also served as an assistant coach for the USA U-19 world team which won the gold medal in 2008.
James Chakey
James is currently the Assistant Coach at Washington College. He played collegiately at Penn State. As a senior, he was named Penn State's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, earned Penn State's True Grit Award and was a finalist for the Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award, presented by the One Love Foundation. He was the winner of both the Penn State Lacrosse Theil Family Lacrosse Award, which is awarded to a member of the senior class who honors tradition and legacy in representation of the Penn State Men’s Lacrosse program, and the Penn State Lacrosse Citizenship Award, which is awarded to a member of the Penn State lacrosse team for their active duty in representing the team on and off the field, while connecting with surrounding communities. His club lacrosse involvement began in 2013 for Mesa as a coach for the youth and middle school teams. In 2019, Chakey went on to direct national club program, Carolina National. In the Carolina’s, He managed, directed, and founded multiple lacrosse programs and events until accepting the Washington College Assistant Coach position in 2021.
Travis Loving
Travis served as the Defensive Coordinator and Interim Head Coach at Severna Park, MD. In 2022, he served as the Defensive Coordinator and helped the team capture its 6th straight State Championship. In 2021, as the team's Interim Head Coach, he led the team to the 4A State Championship and was selected as the Anne Arundel County High School Coach of the Year. In 2019, he helped the team win the 4A State Championship as Defensive Coordinator. Prior to that, he served as the Defensive Coordinator and Goalie Coach at The Haverford School for 18 years. While at Haverford, he captured 11 Inter-Ac title teams, 5 Inter-Ac tournament title teams, 1 state championship team in 2005, and 2 undefeated national championship teams in 2011 and 2015. He has coached coached 42 high school All-Americans and 12 DI goalies. Coach Loving played goalie collegiately at Army for legendary coach Jack Emmer where he served as the team’s captain in 1996 and was a 3-time All-Patriot league goalie selection.
Mark Petrone
Mark is currently the Offensive Coordinator at Radnor High School, where he led his team to the PIAA State Championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Mark served as the offensive coordinator at The Haverford School for 16 years, winning the Inter-Ac championship 14 times. Those Haverford teams also produced one Keystone Cup PA state championship in 2005 and two undefeated National Championship teams in 2011 and 2015. Coach Petrone has coached over 50 high school all-Americans. He played collegiately at Gettysburg College.
